High Performance 4-Stroke Engine

The KFX450R’s power plant, based on the highly acclaimed engine of the KX450F
motocrosser, was newly designed for use in an ATV racer. Adding fuel injection, an electric starter, fitting a reverse gear, lowering the centre of gravity, re-tuning the engine for low-mid range torque to suit the weight of an ATV, and revising the intake and exhaust systems are among the many changes.
 

Digital Fuel Injection

The KFX450R's fuel injection increases race competitiveness by eliminating a key disadvantage of carburettors: fixed engine settings. This means no more comporomises when riding in varied conditions.
 

5-Speed Transmission With Reverse

Following the ideal line is not always possible. When problems arise, the KFX450R's reverse gear (a class first) will prove indispensable in returning to the race or trail quickly.

Lightweight Competition-Style Frame

The KFX450R comes equipped with a high performance frame right from the start. It is the first ATV in its class to offer a completely aluminium chassis for pure lightweight performance
