Main Changes
- The cylinder bore has been increased 2 mm in order to increase the displacement from 215cc to 228cc, resulting in improved engine performance.
- The front and rear carriers have been redesigned to improve the product appeal and the ease of access to the rear storage.
- The design of the front bumper has been changed to improve the product appeal.
Powerful 228 cc engine
- The highly reliable air-cooled 228cc SOHC, 2-valve engine has the bore and stroke of 69.0 mm x 61.0 mm. By increasing the bore 2 mm from the previous 67mm, the engine performance has been improved to attain the maximum output of 12.5 kW (17 PS) at 7,000 rpm, and the maximum torque of 17.9Nm (1.83 kgf·m) at 5,500 rpm.
Transmission
- A semi-automatic, 5-speed transmission with reverse has been adopted.
- A highly reliable and low-maintenance shaft drive has been adopted.
Chassis
- An independent suspension system with single A-arms is in the front and a quad-link system is in the rear suspension.
- Tyre sizes: front AT21x8-9 and rear AT22x10-10.
- The 190 mm ground clearance in the centre of chassis ensures the vehicle's off-road drivability.
Others
- The newly designed carrier racks are highly practical. The front rack has a 20kg capacity, and the rear carrier has a 30kg capacity. They are useful both for work and touring use.
- The rear carrier has been redesigned to improve the accessibility to the rear storage.
- An adjustable throttle limiter has been provided on the throttle lever so that even a beginner can ride the vehicle with the peace of mind.
- The towing capacity of the trailer hitch, which is standard equipment, is 204 kg.
