MOTARD MADDNESS!
Based on Kawasaki's
critically acclaimed dual purpose on/offroad KLX250S, the SF
dials up maximum on-road fun with sticky street radials mounted
on 17-inch wheels, a shorter seat height, a bit less suspension
travel and a big front brake. It's "just" a 250 but its light
weight of just 137kg (curb weight) means the KLX250SF packs the
sort of performance you'd expect from something bigger and more
expensive. Few motorcycles - of any size or price - are capable
of out-cornering it.

The relaxed position makes the bike easier to
ride and control. The footpegs are positioned close to the
bike’s centreline for a slim riding position and the narrow fuel
tank contributes to the comfortable riding position. |

Twin piston front callipers grasps a massive
300mm semi-floating front petal disc for incredible stopping
power while up back a single piston caliper and a large 240mm
petal disc enhance braking performance. |

The compact 249cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke,
single-cylinder engine features a four-valve, dual overhead cam
head atop an electrofusion coated aluminium cylinder producing
impressive power and torque delivering smooth, tractable
acceleration. |

ELECTRIC START |

|
HANDLING |
 |
Enjoy easy, trouble-free starting thanks to a
reliable, electric starter facilitated by Kawasaki Automatic
Compression Release (KACR), which automatically opens an exhaust
valve to lower compression and enable easy cranking.
|
|
 |
The KLX250SF’s box and tubular section high
tensile steel perimeter frame creates a slim, lightweight
package. The 25.5° caster angle and short wheelbase contribute
to quick handling, while the high rigidity of the frame ensures
straight line stability. |
